Computer hardware?

Habr, hello!
What books would you recommend reading about computer hardware? Sometimes it is not clear how everything works at the lowest level.
Thank you.

Read The Linux Kernel by D. Bovet, M. Cesati. After Tanenbaum.
The book is very interesting, reveals various aspects of architecture in sufficient detail. Let the word Linux not scare you, this book is more about the interaction of hardware-software and software-software than specifically about Linux. I think you should like it.

PC upgrade and repair. Too much has been described.
