Compressing tar.gz, problems with characters and spaces in filenames?
Hello.
A little background for clarity.
I make a Bitrix backup using its standard methods, but when unpacking, an error occurs that the archive is broken. I realized that the fact is that someone who developed the site before for some reason instructed files with a name like "name (03/21/13, 13% 3A37).php" here there is a space and a comma and a percent sign. It is on these files that the error is said to be a broken archive.
The question is where to read to understand why this happens. Those. when archiving tar.gz, problems arise when it comes across similar files with symbols and spaces, or is it a problem purely with Bitrix, who has come across, tell me what exactly is the matter or tell me where to read on this topic?

To be honest, there was no such experience.
Well, first - write a ticket to Bitrix.
Second, as an alternative - create separate backups of files and databases and try to restore it this way. Not the fact that it will work, but for the sake of experiment - it's interesting.
