Comfortable surfing, office and multimedia on ATOM N2600. How?

There is an old netbook Acer Aspire One N214 (A0D270) On board:
Atom N2600 1.6 GHz
DDR3 2048 MB
VGA Intel GMA 3600 The
laptop is in good condition with a vigorous battery.
The device requires:

  • Comfortable surfing with YouTube, etc.
  • Video audio
  • Office
  • The simplest processing of graphics and video (cut, crop)

Weakness of the potential owner: indestructible love for tabs - from +20 and absolute computer hand-to-hand. But nevertheless, it has been sitting on my Debian for several years and does not buzz.
Everything!
Looking ahead - XP cannot be installed on this machine, because instead of a broken 1024x600 screen, 1366x768 was bought, which on Windows does not start at this resolution. Couldn't find a solution. Shows only area 1024x600. (not only Windows, and android put a nut). Only Linux gives normal native resolution.
And further. With Puppy, I could not make friends. I’ll hit the flash drive, then I’ll lose it, then some other nuisance.

So, I settled on Linux. As a system for the tasks assigned, it suits completely.
The level of my competence is understanding what to do, but absolutely not an advanced user.

From the "light" distributions I've tried:
  • Tiny Core - could not get the screen in full resolution.
  • Slitaz - wifi Broadcom BCM94313 did not start, incorrect exit from sleep (I don’t know what, but it doesn’t wake up). Failed to install LibreOffice.
  • Bodhi - lack of Russification and visual slowness (with declared lightness)
  • Antix seemed to be heavier than Bunsenlabs, which I settled on.

So, the system is installed. I have two questions where advice is needed.
1. By Zram and Zswap technology. I can not understand with this configuration - what and how it will be better in practice.
2. I read that by fine-tuning Firefox, you can achieve a significant improvement in work on weak technology. How to do it?
I would be grateful for all the advice and tips on the topic.

The problem is not in the system, but in the lack of memory. A modern browser slows down at 2 gigs, especially if you open tabs in it. No shamanism with the OS can not solve this problem.
As an option - install an ancient version of a more or less debugged system with browsers of that time and other programs that have much lower memory requirements.
But even this will not give a full-fledged work on the modern Internet.

Even at the time when it was invented - its main niche was - text editors and a browser. Moreover, the browser of those times that ate much less memory. A very modest amount of memory and a weak percentage - here at least optimize with the axis, as soon as a modern browser starts, it eats up all the memory. You can only put a browser from the times of XP - it can and will work, but there will be jambs with sites. You can try another, more lightweight browser.
The problem is not in the axis, not in the browser. The problem is in the old weak iron.

I have a similar netbook, I upgraded it as best I could, but everything is sad.
I added a 4GB memory bar (sees 3), SSD, but this did not help much.
System selection and setup
Upgrade
Reinforced battery
