Color "Asterisks" in Gmail`e (tagged emails)

Does anyone know if Gmail just changes their color from time to time, or is there another reason for the phenomenon?

Just yesterday (and the whole month, I think) the stars were bluish, and now everything is like this

. A trifle, of course, but interesting.

The colors of the stars are in the settings, the General tab
