Cluster windows server standard 2016 + free hyper-v server 2016 + windows server standard 2012?
At the moment, everything works on 1 windows server standart 2012 server (2 VMs are running on it), there is a project to create a cluster of 3 nodes.
2 servers + network storage + windows server standart 2016 axis were bought in addition by the former administrator.
Judging by the TOR, the admin wanted to create a cluster on new servers in a bunch of windows server standart 2016 + free hyper-v server 2016 and add an existing server to this cluster.
Question: Will the cluster bundle windows server standard 2016 + free hyper-v server 2016 + windows server standard 2012 work, since there are suspicions that hyper-v server 2016 works in a cluster only with hyper-v server 2016.

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that on Hyper-v core (not a server role, but a standalone version of the OS) there is no way to enable the cluster role. But between 2012r2 and 2016, a failover cluster is possible under certain conditions, this is a new feature of MS Windows 2016 with failover cluster and hyper-v roles - link: https://docs.microsoft.com/ru-ru/windows-server/fa ...
