Clone Twitter - what to call tweets?

I made a site with the main functionality of Twitter, but calling these short messages "tweets" does not seem very good.
What to think? There is a "status" option, but then what about the functionality like "retweet" - "restatus" somehow does not sound xD
"Post" is not suitable, because. for the "post" I have another functionality.
