Client-Bridge with two DIRs on DD-WRT - is it possible for the Client (secondary) to distribute via Wi-Fi as well?
So, there are two D-link routers available - 615 and 320 , - the first and second, respectively, are flashed DD-WRT .
The first is the main one, from which it is connected via an ADSL modem to the Internet, the second is the receiving one.
Settings of the first (Primary):
IP - 192.168.1.1
Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
Wi-FI - configured as a Point
Settings of the second (Client, Secondary):
IP - 192.168.1.2 Subnet
mask - 255.255.255.0 I refer to the first one)
Wi-FI is configured as Client Bridge
Turned off the firewall
On the Status -> Wireless tab, I searched for networks, found the first router and connected to it
P.S. The SSID, password and other settings are identical on both
. As a result, I got a network in which the first router receives the Internet, distributes it with a cable to computers and via Wi-Fi to wireless devices. The second router, in turn, takes the Internet from the first and distributes it to its own via cable.
Question: how to make the second router distribute the Internet not only via cable, but also via Wi-Fi ?
PS 2 I'm far from a sysadmin and not a designer (this is for the scheme), I'm building a network in the house for personal needs, so I'm asking for a more or less mushy answer :)
