Clicks/claps when rewinding/stopping sound. How to decide?
Hello. I've been trying to solve this problem for a very long time. Googled and rummaged through a bunch of forums, but still did not find a solution. I found a good example alemangui.github.io/blog//2015/12/26/ramp-to-value.html , which partially describes this problem. There is a click when playing and stopping the first option. Another example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8gjsefNYpE , when playing and stopping the video, there is a click, when rewinding the same. In games, too, these clicks sometimes slip through. That is, when the wave is interrupted, sound is obtained? Clicks are well audible in the headphones, but not very noticeable in the speakers. I have not found how to solve this problem.
What was done:
-reinstalled the drivers, and after the OS
-disabled all power-saving modes, turbo boost, hyper-threading, EIST
-bought an external card Creative Sound Blaster Play 3. There are the same problems with sound.
-changed the sample rate in the Realtek panel
-tried through other headphones
PC specifications:
OS - Windows 7
Motherboard - Asus B85M-G
Power supply - AeroCool HERO 675W
CPU cooler - DeepCool Gammax 300
Processor - Xeon E3 1240 V3
Video card - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WF OC
There are 2 PCs with the characteristics above and clicks are observed in both. For the sake of interest, I checked the example above from YouTube on 2 laptops and phones - there are also clicks. Maybe there is a device that suppresses clicks? Or a sound card where there are no these clicks. I really hope for your help. Thank you!
