Chrome, there is no possibility to enter the Russian language. Ubuntu 12.04
Hello,
It has not been updated on a working computer for a long time (Ubuntu 12.04 3.8.0-42-generic #62~precise1-Ubuntu SMP x86_64), the latest updates have updated the chrome version to 35.0.1916.153, after which there is no possibility to enter the Russian language, although the change is obvious , in the 'ru' tray and in other programs, the Russian language is used, it just continues to enter English characters, has anyone come across it?
Thank you!
PS I write from notepad

So, the same problem came to chromium 36.
But the solution, as it turned out, was close!
Or constantly run from the terminal env LANG=C.UTF-8 google-chrome
Upgrade the whole system (without dist-upgrade), if chrome is from native source - the problem will go away. If it doesn't go away, write a bug report. If you installed by rolling a .deb package downloaded from the Internet, then install from your native repository.
