Chrome endlessly trying to download something but not showing what exactly?

There is some strange glitch on my test site with chrome (not in other browsers). The title of the tab shows the preloader endlessly spinning. And in the status bar at the bottom it says: "Waiting for site.com ...". At the same time, the page is fully loaded and rendered, and in the Network tab all requests have the code 200 or 304. What does it load, how to find out?
