Choosing an HDMI cable?
Hello.
I have an LG TV with HDMI 1.3 and I bought myself a Pioneer DV600 with HDMI 1.3 too.
In online stores, there are a lot of these cables (as an option, see the review ) and an incredible range of prices and it is not clear which one I need ..
So I want to know if there is a difference between HDMI 1.3 cables and earlier, and why such a price range, if it's just cable ..
can you advise which one to choose? (a long one is not needed - you need to connect a TV set and a DVD player) ?
I found the following recommendations for choosing the right HDMI cable for viewing 1920x1080 at 60Hz:
- First of all, look at the diameter of the cable.
Up to 3m, a 5-6mm cable will do (there will be 30AWG wires inside).
5m - > 7mm (28AWG)
10m - > 8mm (26AWG)
15m - > 9 mm (24AWG)
20m - >10 mm (22AWG)
- if the AWG of the wires is directly indicated, this is a sign of the seriousness of the manufacturer. We will pay attention to them first, well, or second.
- if you are not doing well with the EMR level in the apartment - ferrites are desirable (not my option)
- then we look at the price, color, brand, packaging, missing gilding and enjoy our choice.
Is it like that
