Choosing a WiFi router at home

Hello.
There is a semblance of a TP-Link WR740 router. Was taken to replace the DI-524, because. firstly, it does not support the n-standard, and secondly, it began to slow down.
"Home":
2 laptops
2 PCs (wifi usb)
1 under-PC (x86 + Synology)
1 TV
3 tablets
4 phones
In the evenings, there are lags (when everyone is online), that is, the question of replacing the router with something more relevant is ripe. Accordingly, the question is - for what? :)
Mikrotik is actively advised on Habré, but I can assure you that no more than 3GB / day of traffic accumulates per day, so why do I need an under-cisco?
Maybe it makes sense to make a mesh network? Or stupidly buy a second router and connect them with a cable (not WDS, just distribute the load)? In general, advise something multi-device-stable, please.

Mikrotik will not help here. =) Get a more powerful tplink with ipv6 support. You will be happy

With OpenWrt TL-WDR4300 (about $100) for example or the new Archer model.
