Choosing a microcontroller?

Hello!
I need to select a microcontroller. It should simply receive signals from >4x buttons and turn on the power at the corresponding outputs. Also save the results of your work.
Everywhere advise Arduino Uno.
But maybe you can suggest something more suitable?
Thanks in advance!

They advise correctly. You can buy a copy of uno, they say it is not far behind in quality.

Wrong advice. STM32 is cheaper and more functional.
And in general, depending on what kind of task. Perhaps a 30-cent (!!!) STM8S003 is enough for the eyes.

The Arduino Nano is smaller and cheaper than the Arduino UNO
. For four buttons and four outputs, it's enough.
Arduino Mini is even smaller, but more expensive and less convenient to program, it does not have a USB interface, you need to use a UART-to-USB converter
