Choose a file system?

What file system to choose for storing a large number of files? More reading than writing. Debian OS or CentOS.

Depends on the files themselves. If you have large files, then it's wiser to use xfs, if you have a bunch of small files, then it's better to use reiser4, and so ext4, the golden mean

I would stupidly take ext4, but you can also use zfs - you can store a zerabyte.

And between what you choose, globally the choice between xfs and ext4 both need to be tuned
