Choice of DSLR for shooting video "in the home archive"?

Friends, Canon 400d has served me faithfully for 5 years now. We travel a lot and take a lot of photos, but I wanted a video to appear in my home archive. I have not been interested in photographic equipment for a long time and do not know how the situation with shooting video is now. I only know that a couple of years ago, Sony came up with something revolutionary with autofocus when shooting a video, while Canon had problems with defocusing during the shooting process.
I don’t see anything wrong with changing religion from canon to something else, because. not tied to it by the number of available lenses.
Advise which of the current models?
Budget - 20-30 thousand rubles.
ps:
my 400d:
1) was flooded with an ocean wave, followed by drying
2) fell on the surface of the volcano and remained without chips
3) traveled in a backpack with a copper kettle and did not get scratched
4) nevertheless has the appearance of "2-"
so the stronger the camera, the better :)

In that case, look towards Nikon D3200 , it came out this year. It shoots in 1080p 30fps (although with a limit of 20 minutes per video, but for the video "in the home archive", as I understand it, this limitation is not very important).
Apparently, you fit into the budget with ease , so you can buy a more decent lens.

Dynamic, non-staged video will be quite difficult to shoot on a DSLR (for example, there is no tracking autofocus, stabilizer, smooth zoom). Also often the video stops due to the file size limit (4GB on FAT32), memory card overheating.
I warned you!
(I myself shoot staged short videos on 60D, and when I travel I take a Panasonic TM-60 camcorder)
And if on the subject of the question, then with this budget you can take a Canon 60D (1920x1080 30FPS, 1280x720 60FPS) as a maximum.
Contact me for questions about 60D and TM-60, I will answer.

I understand that the answer is not entirely on the topic, but I was in a similar situation (I also have an old 400D) and took a GoPro for the video.
Indestructible, waterproof (filmed fish under water, if we talk about traveling), small and light, you can mount it on your head / car / steering wheel / anything, etc. Fun stuff, reasonable price, good video quality. Now the third version is out, very cool.

About six months ago I chose a DSLR with the ability to shoot video, with the same budget. I vibrated between nikon 5100 and sony alpha 37. I stopped at Sony, autofocus on video works. Since the prices for this line have fallen a little, now you can take a57 for this money.
