choice of compact camera for home around 10000

Hello.

Faced the problem of choosing a camera for personal use. I don't claim high quality pictures. Basically, will be dragged on holidays abroad.

Ultrasound is basically not needed. You need adequate image quality (including in low artificial light), decent detail (no watercolor effect from noise reduction) and sane color. Dimensions preferably not very large.

It would seem that the NEX-5 would be quite a decent option, but both the budget and the dimensions are too big for me.

So far I'm choosing from Canon PowerShot SX220 and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V . Maybe there are better options for these tasks?

To be honest, the range available on the market slightly upset the quality of the resulting images. Maybe I don’t understand something, or do you need to buy a full frame and a fast fix at 50 for decent non-professional quality photos in the “me and my fucking cat” genre?

In general, please help me decide :)

You have chosen a worthy model. Both soapboxes are well balanced in terms of functionality / quality / price. Both will shoot equally well.
As for shooting in low artificial light, the quality of the photo will be decent within the range of the flash. If this is extremely important, then when buying, you can experimentally evaluate which of the cameras flash covers a larger area of \u200b\u200bthe frame (with a wide-angle lens position). Evaluate which of the cameras gives (subjectively) a more pleasant picture (under equal conditions).
Also, you can pay attention to Canon PowerShot sx130is (or predecessor: canon sx120is). A slower soap dish, aperture ratio, zoom, stabilization, weight ... everything is about the same, but from the pros: AA batteries and the possibility of completely manual shooting (including focusing). I bought it for a friend, for experiments and for "learning how to use manual modes before buying a DSLR." Also a good soap.

Alas, marketing: in low light, soap dishes are equally bad, and those that are better are inappropriately expensive. Perhaps you should take a closer look at the used ones, I saw the other day for the same 9k Canon G10, in any way better than both of these devices.

If you choose among compacts, then for decent shots, make sure that the matrix size is as large as possible, up to 1/2

Might be worth looking into a used one.
A little more than 10 thousand you can buy a good camera, with not very high mileage.
Offhand, they offer: www.avito.ru/items/moskva_fototehnika_canon_eos_350d_s_obektivom_canon_ef-s_18-55_is_29898506

One of the most user-friendly sites I've come across is snapsort . Among other things, you can enter the amount and get a completely adequate recommendation on the subject of "what to buy."
And for photos of decent unprofessional quality, they say, first of all, you need a head / hands and a desire :)

in fact, in this price range, all soap dishes shoot the same way during the day, and either sooooo bad or just really bad at night.
there is no point in choosing this option.
again, all of them will cancel noise, especially if the camera understands what is shooting at night. (I repeat) soap dishes behave very terribly at night, and regardless of the price.
as I understand it, the size / weight is important to you, the zoom is not needed, so I would just not spend extra money and look towards the canon SD 1400/1300, which is 2 times cheaper than the sx220, but in reality it will not be much inferior to it. well, or instead of HX7V, take HX5V :)
think you really need to spend 10k on a soap box? for this money you can take a junior DSLR (yes, you don’t need it, but just so you can understand what quality (technical) image you can expect for this money)

Didn't find what you were looking for?
