Hello, for work and study, I often have to send, accept and discuss individual sections of the code via chat. Are there messengers (or any plugins for them) with code highlighting in different languages?

There are services for collaborative text editing with syntax highlighting and built-in chat. (for example collabedit.com). IMHO a more suitable solution than instant messengers.

It's an editor for collaborative coding.

Run through an online code highlighter, and then copy the result to any im that supports formatting (pidgin, for example).

I remember putting a plugin on MSN that formatted the code and sent the highlighted one. it was convenient
