Good afternoon, I’m reading a book and it talks about cgi, but I didn’t see anything special that requires a new name.
CGI is just that set of functions (code) that we use to process data on the server that came from the client through a form or something else?

CGI is a protocol (interface) through which a web server communicates with a request handler program.

CGI is the standard. like WSGI, for example.
You are a person, but there is something special about you that requires a new name. It could be called "essence".
And HTTP is a protocol. But one could call it "a set of bytes that go back and forth."
