Captive portale based on the created WiFi access point (Linux)?

Hello. Please help me to solve the following issue.
I have a linux hotspot created via hostapd .
I need to get a username and password from users so that I can process them later. What is the best way to do this? I thought about Captive POrtal , but this option does not work for me. Do you have any suggestions for other implementations of this system, or good examples of Captive Portal implementations ?
