Do not tell me good textbooks on mathematical modeling, only that the main emphasis was on building a mat model, and not solving it.
The tasks can be different: The speed of emptying the pools from the holes of which water flows out, the harmon of the difference in the vibration of the string with different keystrokes of the piano, the behavior of the school of fish with changes in currents ....
