Virtualization

Can you just copy Hyper-V hard drive files?

Configured Hyper-V, created vm 2012R2, updated, configured. I copied the vhdx file and renamed it. I created a second vm, connected the copied hard disk file to it. Everything is working.

Is it possible to prepare virtual servers this way? If not, how?

PS or you still have to learn how to create an image with integrated updates)

You can, but you need to remember that inside the virtual machine (in the configuration files) the parameters of the original virtual machine are saved. Don't forget to sysprep.
