Can you help me choose a learning path?

Good afternoon.
I'm 20, I just graduated from one of the best Russian universities with a degree in non-programming. Now I work in a good company, but for 3 years now I feel that I have not gone my own way. That is why I would like to try myself in the information field, which has attracted me since childhood, but which I was afraid or too lazy to touch. This question, like thousands of others on the forums, will be related to the first step in programming. However, to make the task easier for the responders, I will make a few clarifications. Having embarked on this path, as on any other path, the last thing I want to do is be mediocre. I'm not in a hurry, I don't have a task to find a job in IT strictly in a year. Perhaps I will never have to work in this area at all, and all this will remain only at the level of a hobby.
Now to the point. Web development and mobile applications do not really attract me, at least now, for a fragile mind). I would like to develop software directly for a computer, so far it does not matter which one. Also of interest is the very principle of computer operation, as well as information security. Of course, as for many beginners, the gaming area is interesting. I even took courses on coursera on an introduction to game development, but the realization that any toy in unity will not start even without the simplest script at that moment made me very sick.
In general, I do not have a goal to immediately rush into the study of programming directly. I am ready to start learning peripherals like algorithms, math analysis or operating systems (I don’t know what is really needed) to become more prepared. In general, I’m even ready to learn from something low-level, if this will be useful and understanding. I think I have a mathematical mindset, not quite an "Olympiad" level, but still, as well as a high working capacity, so I expect that I can pull it off.
Based on all these theses, I ask experts to give me recommendations. Thank you!
