Can they refuse a new job while you work at the old one?
Good afternoon, I have been worried about one issue for some time
Now I work in a company, lately I am not satisfied with either the project itself or the salary
There was a good offer where I was almost hired
And can it happen that if at a new job they will tell me “Yes, great, you suit us”, but for now I will work out, in which case, 2 weeks at my old job, they will say to me “Sorry, they found a better employee”. I’ll be trampled from my old job by that time) I just don’t want to find myself in an uncomfortable situation for myself, so I want to understand if this happens at all

In normal offices, they know that there is a requirement to work 2 weeks before dismissal. Absolutely normal question at the interview: "When will you be able to start working?".
The fact that the future employee honestly says that he has obligations to the previous employer shows him on a good side - the future employer will also count on him that, if anything, he will not disappear unexpectedly, but, as expected, will work for 2 weeks .
So I wouldn't worry if I were you. Calmly go to your personnel department, write a statement, at the same time tell the new employer that you will leave in two weeks.
At a new job, do not register now, but agree that you are formalized with the release of such and such a date. in two weeks, in three, in a month. The main thing is to come to an agreement and sign the offer.

course they can, without loss for themselves, except perhaps karma and reputation;
at the same time:
-having written a letter of resignation and working for two weeks, you can change your mind at any time during these two weeks, come and pick up your application, continuing to work as before writing it, I saw such situations with my own eyes (I think that it is necessary to avoid enterprises where the management is morally immature and cultivates a kindergarten with the terms "we are a team / family" / "rat" / "traitor");
- if no one objects, and you are in a hurry, you can quit even tomorrow by agreement of the parties
