Can the TV be upgraded?

Moved to an apartment with a fairly new, but at the same time rather stupid Philips 42pfl3007h/12 TV.
It’s reluctant to buy a new TV set and it’s a pity for money, but replacing the motherboard from a smarter brother in the line is completely.
Does anyone know any resources where you can read about it / ask for advice?
For example, judging by the location of the ports, this one should be suitable, but I want to know for sure before spending a hundred euros.
