Can the processor overheat due to the video card?
Good evening. Faced with a problematic overheating of the processor on an HP 440 G5 laptop. Processor i7-8550u.
During operation, the computer, due to overheating of the CPU, is cut down, which causes inconvenience, and I load the CPU itself by a maximum of 40-50%.
I put the CPU in a stress test for 20 minutes with a load of 100% - the temperature was kept within 60-70 degrees.
I put a video card in a stress test - the CPU warmed up to 90 degrees within a couple of minutes, and its load was about 20%, a little later the CPU temperature reached 99 degrees, but the computer did not turn off and continued to work.
Because of what mb such a problem? Perhaps this is some kind of design feature? Or marriage?

Yes, it can, especially on laptops. Usually there is a combined cooling system for the processor and video card.
Other possible reasons:
Do you have a discrete or built-in video processor? If built-in, then it is located next to the process, on the same chip, and when the video processor heats up, the processor will also heat up.
