Can the price of domain renewal increase several times with the development of brand awareness?
Let's say I bought a domain name in the .ru zone under an already registered trademark. Now the price of the domain is not high, because the brand is not known. Could there be such a situation that the registrar for the extension of the use of this name can significantly increase the price? In other words, the more popular a brand becomes, the more expensive it is to rent a domain name. Is that possible?

When registering a domain, these points should be reflected in the contract, but as a rule this does not happen, but if you lose control of the domain and it is well promoted, then the registrar will skim the cream off it and put the domain up for auction.
In practice, this did not happen, but I would not advise then to use the ru zone (everything is possible in it).
For such actions in international zones, the registrar's license will be quickly revoked (well, the community will bury the person responsible for the parade under the nearest pole). In ru tomorrow they will adopt any law and anything can happen.
