Can't restore from win2012r2 backup, what's wrong?

The host machine runs on esxi 5.5
It contains: DC (win2012r2) and a couple of terminal servers. The DiskCryptor
program is installed on the DC. Backup copies were made on the NAS. But there is only one DHCP Server per DC in the network. I encountered such a problem when the DC does not work (that is, it broke or something else), but the automatic machine, when restoring from the iso image of the OS, it turns out IP does not work, you have to type it manually, but there are problems with this 2012r2 Windows. Decided to add a disk to the host machine. Added, it seems like a local disk, and DC pokies are thrown off there.
I decided to check if I can recover from this backup, but that was not the case. I boot from the OS and it does not see the backup on the local disk. I decided to try to make a shared folder and drop a backup copy there and try to access this folder and suddenly see \\127.0.0.1\backup. But still to no avail.
I decided to try to deploy the same bunch of esxi + disk on a test bench where backups will be thrown off. Everything is perfectly visible. But I also decided to go ahead and installed DiskCryptor (because I thought that it was a problem).
But it wasn’t there, anyway, a backup copy is seen on the test bench, but the same problem is still on the production server.
I even tried the distributions from which I boot for recovery, but still I don’t see it ...
I would be grateful for any advice, otherwise I want to implement a second DC, but I still can’t restore the first one in case of any problem.
PS: If I use the archiving snap-in, does he see these backups, then, as it turned out, he sees them.

Nearby I made a VM and I'm trying to see the backups in 2 places. Everything is seen without problems .... Some kind of mysticism.

@tartarelin

probably it’s still better to make a backup of the VM, this is also the pluses of virtual machines
