Can't reset bios password on Asus P8B75-M motherboard?
I've been resetting my password for about a week and can't figure out what's wrong.
I removed the CMOS battery - it did not help, the password remained, but the date on the OS was reset. Strange garbage, I thought, and decided to move the CLRTC jumper, but exactly the same problem - there is a password, but no date!
Further, I decided to register the master password in the password field, exactly the same way - the date has changed, but the password has remained.
Okay, there is a bunch of good software, I thought, and found a program comos de animator
, did everything right, again the same thing.
Further more, I went to google the instructions, the methods described in it also did not help and exactly the same, the date in the OS changed to 2008.
Pay attention to my words about the date.
I think that these methods reset the BIOS settings to default, but not the password to it. Consequently, I can assume that when resetting the BIOS settings, the password is not reset!
Why that is, I have no idea.
I remind you of the Asus P8B75-M motherboard
When you turn on the PC, the Aquarius logo appears on the screen.

You can try with the jumper rearranged to apply power for a couple of seconds. Sometimes the settings are reset only this way.
