Can't activate Windows 8 on another (new) computer
I changed my computer, installed my legal copy of Windows 8 on it.
However, the system swears, saying, “This key did not fit. Make sure you enter it correctly, or try a different key."
As I understand it, this is due to the fact that the system can only be activated on one PC at a time. But ... on the old PC, the hard drive has been formatted for a long time, i.e. The OS is only on one PC at the moment.
Tell me how to let Microsoft know about this or, more simply, how can I activate Windows?

To activate Windows 8 (license for upgrading from Windows7) you need to:
1. DELETE everything
2. INSTALL Windows 7
3. ACTIVATE with the old key FROM WINDOWS 7
4. Install Windows 8 OVER 7.
5. Activate Windows 8 with the upgrade key.
And I just installed win8 and activated with this method: habrahabr.ru/post/156193/#comment_5334147
