Can Raspberry PI 3 guarantee stable operation of i2c and uart interface at 50% average CPU usage?
Good afternoon!
I don’t know where to get information on the stability and reliability of i2c and uart under Linux on pri3. How to evaluate these parameters under Linux? Are there data gaps or other collisions associated with non-realtime Linux?

Necroposting, but suddenly someone will come in handy. I can’t fully answer the question, but the observations are as follows: I
made a project on RPi3b (standard Debian from the off site rpi), on the pluses in Qt. With four running threads, the CPU utilization monitor (the one at the bottom right) showed values of just about 60-70%. One thread was engaged in cyclic polling of the I2C bus (pigpio), polling 6 devices, a total of 54 registers took 10-15 ms. There were no freezes / overly long polls. Perhaps there were data gaps, for my application it was not critical. The length of the tire is about a meter.
