Can PPPoE drop due to a power surge?

Hello! Recently, I have been observing PPPoE connection breaks, while IPTV is working successfully. I spoke with the support of the provider, they came to the conclusion that they replaced the port on the switch (at the same time they said that everything was in order with the port, and they did it purely for safety net) and my problem was solved, but not for long. . Lately, I've been seeing frequent breaks again. This problem is observed especially in the evenings. I read somewhere that the router can lose connection during power surges. But the fact is that it does not reboot at the same time, but simply loses PPPoE. Question: Can a PPPoE break occur due to a voltage drop without rebooting the router.
