Can I use only Visual Studio Code and GitHub Desktop?

Is it possible to use only Visual Studio Code (terminal inside) instead of the Terminal itself on mac and GitHub Desktop instead of Sourcetree, won't I need them in the future for some specific tasks?

Use what you want and how you want. Devops is purely your choice.
The terminal in the IDE is no different from the terminal in the OS.
And for 99.99% of the tasks of working with the git, integration within the IDE is enough. It seems to be in Visual Studio.
