Can I use an EXTERNAL DVD drive to install Windows OS?
Hello, I do not want to install a DVD drive in my computer, as it will spoil the appearance. Can I buy an external dvd drive and will it work properly? Will it be possible to install os from it for example? And with the speed of such drives as?

Of course you can.
Although I usually do it from a flash drive or from such a device , the zalman ve400
DVD is very bulky, and morally obsolete.
I am writing for the second time today :) Forget about DVD, everything that can be made with disks (installation of the axis, etc.) can be done from a flash drive, everything that is on the disks can be downloaded. It makes no sense at all to put it on.
if only for installation - it's easier to buy a USB flash drive, no?
You can, of course, if the motherboard supports booting from USB. Although the computer is most likely not old, so everything is possible.
And why exactly the drive, and not a bootable USB flash drive? You will obviously win in speed, + the disk can be scratched, and somehow the disks are already receding into the past in my opinion.
