Can I use a computer in a different subnet from the router?

The computer is located at 192.168.2.1 and the router is located at 192.168.1.1 The
question is, will the Internet work with this configuration? All you need is an internet connection, nothing else.
PS subnet mask 255.255.255.0

PS subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Not with this mask. Either change the mask to 255.255.252.0 on both devices or on the PC change the IP to 192.168.1.X (where X > 2 and X < 254). And do not forget to specify the default gateway on the PC: 192.168.1.1.
