Can I use a 11.1v 1200mah battery to power an arduino nano?

Good day. I have the above battery (for an airsoft drive) can it be used to power the Arduino nano. Is it also possible to apply such denominations to the input as a button. In short, I want to make an imitation of the sound of a shot. As a button, I want to use the voltage that comes to the motor at the moment the trigger is pressed. Please advise how this can be done correctly. Thank you in advance.
I’ll make a reservation right away that I just started studying this area of occupation, so I ask you not to swear strongly at ignorance and, if possible, explain in more detail.

Recommended voltage 7-12V, maximum 20V (for Vin).

In general, Arduinos take from 5 to 20 V, so, in principle, quite.
The question is, how long will this last.

You can power it by applying this voltage to Vin. It will go to the stabilizer, after which + 5V will come out. The button can be pulled up to these + 5V.
