Can I somehow connect to the sql server?
There is an ancient program that connects to a 2005 SQL EXPRESS server. An employee working with her put a com with windows 10 and found:
dbnetlib connectionopen (connect()). sql server does not exist or access is denied
Tried to update the server version to 2008 - no change.
The program connects with windows XP, windows 7, but refuses with 10.
From the same computer, SQL studio is freely connected.
I checked with others - the connection does not work from 2012 and 10, it works from earlier versions.
What could be the problem?

Is the firewall turned on at the workplace? Port, for connection to SQL, the standard is used? Will you show the connection parameters to SQL (conection string, if any)?
