Can I leave my tablet connected to the network 24/7?

Can I leave my tablet plugged in 24/7? A video is playing on it 12 hours a day, will the constant connection of the power supply to the network affect the wear of the battery? Or is it better to let it fully discharge once a week / month? Or under load is it better to work from the battery and put it on charge at night?

So why bother with the battery if it's online 24/7?

For prevention, you can give a full cycle of battery discharge.

on the tablet there is a lithium battery, which has a charge controller that controls the charge of the battery and does not allow it to recharge, that is, it disconnects the acc from charging. so nothing will happen.

the battery will not be very good. we have several Samsung smartphones exclusively for development and testing by Android developers, they are constantly connected via USB to the system units, for years. the battery on them feels not so brilliant. on the other hand, your tablet will be able to live in this mode without any problems, not so much. So most likely, if the future you mentioned is not too far away, then everything will be OK.
