Can I encrypt the disk and data when installing Linux on a Mac?

The Mac itself is missing. I would like to know if it is possible to encrypt your data on both OSes when installing Linux on a Mac?
Since File Vault is disabled, in order to install Linux in a dual boot using erEFInd, such a question arose

1) I don’t understand what the problem is to leave the “encrypt data” checkbox in the same ubunt during installation? And inside the MAC, I'm sure there are a bunch of utilities, as well as on any axis, why encrypt system files when you can encrypt personal data at the application level.
2) TrueCrypt won't work with DualBoot?
