Can electrical equipment work normally after flooding?

Hello! Recently there was a trouble - he flooded the stand from the electric kettle. Did not work. He shook out the water, put it on the windowsill. After a day and a half I try - the kettle works properly. Actually, the question is for connoisseurs - can this flooding make itself felt later (oxidation seems to be a slow process) and should it be referred for diagnostics, or is everything basically normal and you can not worry? The kettle is damn expensive, sorry.

Thanks in advance!

You understand that pouring a kettle stand, where there are 3 contacts (if you don’t have a WI-FI module installed there, of course) is one thing, and filling a PC motherboard is completely different.

and should be taken for diagnosis.

If the stand is crammed with electronics - controllers, WI-FI modules are there, RAM - then carry it of course. If there are no electronics there, then there is nothing to be afraid of. You should at least indicate the model of the teapot - otherwise it’s expensive - maybe there’s just a gold stand ...

If the water is clean and completely dry before being plugged into the network, then nothing terrible will happen, although there is always the possibility of a unique set of circumstances.
If you poured tea, soda, beer, etc. - it is better to disassemble and wipe all traces of flooding inside, but in general, boards in devices potentially in contact with liquids are usually protected from water.

There was an accident at work - the technical floor was flooded, because of which water gushed onto the electronics. It flooded with water, including my work laptop. I had to urgently open it, disassemble it into components, rinse everything with medical alcohol and dry it with a hairdryer.
It happened 6 years ago.
I still use this laptop every day.
And I am writing these lines.

If you filled it with plain clean boiled water, then nothing special, just dry it on the battery for a couple of days.
If it was soup, compote or something like that, then complications such as burning are possible and it is better to ask someone to disassemble and rinse.
