Can Adaptive replacement cache (ARC) be used in a commercial project?

Greetings.
I needed an efficient caching algorithm in my commercial project.
I immediately drew attention to ARC, but it is patented by IBM.
What to do?
Is there an alternative to ARC?
How to choose the size of the cache and the number of pages in it?
The disk stores 100,000 pages of 1 MB.
About 1,000 clients are connected to the server, which request the pages they need.
