Can a virus get out of a VMWare virtual machine?

Can a virus from VMWare get into the host PC if you turn off the Internet on VMWare before launching the virus, bypass VMWare detection ( https://habr.com/post/311492/ ), and disable shared folders?

This is unlikely, but possible. It can be assumed that there are vulnerabilities, including VMware, that allow you to make a sandbox escape from a virtual machine. Nobody will give a 100% guarantee that "this is impossible".
Well, depending on what you are launching. Making a sandbox escape, and then developing an attack is still very, very difficult, so they will design this only if it is VERY NECESSARY, and for specific purposes (organizations).
