Can a self-employed person accept payments informally?

The question is, if you become self-employed, is it also possible, for example, to accept some payments without issuing checks and invoices to pay the client? For example, if this is a small part-time job, and a couple of thousand rubles for Yandex money? Or can the tax authorities somehow find out that I receive money unofficially for Yandex? It’s just that if you issue an invoice for every small thing, and then another check, this is how much extra red tape will appear.

The most important thing is that you are NOT transferred the same amounts and NOT in the same period of time.
