Can a NAS be used as home hosting?

Hello.
There is a question (I don’t understand this much), is it possible to use a NAS ( for example, this one ) to create a home hosting with support for postgresql + php , nodejs and so on?

Can. But not necessary.
The shelf is calculated purely for specific tasks - to distribute the file. Therefore, shelves, even enterprise ones, are usually weaker than regular servers for the same money. Less memory, weaker percent, simplified version of linux. Yes, it will probably be possible to install Optware / Entware. But it will tormoooooooooozit. PgSQL is generally quite a resource-intensive thing.

I want a wordpress shit blog on my home Netgear ReadyNAS 104 (at the time of purchase 2 years ago it was the cheapest in our area, where you could put 4 disks). On board out of the box was a slightly customized Debian. Brake protsik ARM, 512 RAM. Quite at the level of a cheap VPS.

It is possible, but not necessary. My experiments with WD my cloud ended with the fact that I messed it up.
What's the problem with buying an Orange Pi for 30-35€ or putting in an old PC/laptop? In the case of jambs, it is restored without problems, a normal percentage (on the same my cloud, a dead dual-core ARM).
