The multiplexer can be used as a parallel 10-bit binary to serial converter. To do this, it is enough to apply a parallel code to the inputs of the multiplexer and then sequentially change the address code in the required sequence. In this case, in order to avoid the appearance of a false signal at the output of the multiplexer, the strobe pulse must disconnect the output from the inputs during the address switching.
