Can a MacBook Pro fail both the display and the graphics card at the same time?
Good afternoon, I am currently in Vietnam. Two months ago, the macbook pro 15 retina early 2013 started having problems with the image. This happened after 10 days of inactivity, we were away. Purple vertical stripes began to appear on the screen, and the image sometimes became completely white and flickered. After a few days, the screen began to display only a white backlight. I gave the laptop to the local craftsmen, they diagnosed the malfunction of the video chip. Started replacing with a new one. Then they wrote that the hdmi was out of order, then they kept it for another month. Now they say that also the display does not work. Apparently, initially the problem was with the display, but after picking, the hdmi was ripped apart. Plus, the keyboard backlight stopped working. Now they want to get out and say that the problem is in this and that. They say they changed the video card, but the display is not working and that the video card disabled the display and then stopped displaying the picture on hdmi .. That is, now the laptop is visually in the same condition in which I gave it to them, just a white screen, they want money for replacing the video card. Tell me, can it be that this laptop has both a video chip and a matrix fail at the same time?

"Local masters" will not tell you anything. Is the service even authorized? Write an email to Apple.
unlikely, most likely it is either a cable or a video chip. It was like this on a flasher in 2007, fortunately I was abroad at that moment and, according to a revocable company, they changed the whole logboard for me
On this model, the video card fails. Replace office without talking. Extended warranty covers mid 2012 and erl.2013
