Can a laptop matrix be connected to a Raspberry Pi?
Hello!
It is necessary to make a device with a built-in computer and a screen.
The idea is this: take matrices from laptops, connect them to LCD screen controllers, like this www.ebay.com/itm/M-NT68676-2A-HDMI-DVI-VGA-Audio-L...
As a computer - Raspberry Pi.
The device is small-scale, so today they took a matrix of 13.3", tomorrow 12.1", which came to hand.
I do not want to hunt for a certain type of matrix.
I would take a monitor of 10-13 inches, with a resolution of at least 1366 * 768, but they are not available for sane money.
Is laptop matrix connector standardized by connector type, pinout, etc?
Does the idea have problems?

Laptop matrices are usually connected via LVDS and there are no standards - even within the same model, but with different revisions, you can find different connectors. When selling matrices, they even specify the location and number of pins at the connector.
Moreover, you can’t connect directly either - you need an adapter.
Not all matrices will work, but most should work. Buy a device and test with each matrix that falls into your hands.
