Can a 4k monitor work with a fullhd monitor?

I do web development. It is necessary to constantly look at the project from a fullhd monitor (well, smaller ones - that's another story). Now I use 2 fullhd monitors. But now I want to update one of the monitors (it is already quite old, tn matrix, but I would like to have a good picture on both monitors). Began to look narrowly at 4k monitors. But the question reasonably arises, how will fullhd and 4k monitors work together? And will there be at all?
