Bydlokoder PHP, go to gamedev, what to choose, what is promising for indie development?

Hello!
I am currently working as a freelance PHP coder, I have a desire to move to the next level, more specifically, to do indie game development.
Who has experience in this area, advise where a novice indie developer should go now?
Android?
iOS?
PC?
Flash?
Other?
Learning PHP has changed my attitude towards the fear of OOP and the walls of fancy code in Java, C #, from which I fall into a stupor.
Please advise where it would be optimal, for the next 3-5 years, to orient a noob in game development, taking into account the mastery of technology and the release of small games in 5-6 months? I am an ordinary, unremarkable coder, my dream is to become an indie developer who can get a piece of bread for himself by inventing and releasing games.
Or maybe still PC, not mobile phones? For example, the same Unity 3D + JS4Unity or learn C, then create on a free 2D engine.
Indeed, in mobile games without a budget for indie promotion, it is difficult to compete with publishers and teams, if I understood correctly after reading a dozen stories of indie developers.
Thanks a lot!

Flash is not worth it. I think soon all the advantages of flash will be available through a simple
Android browser - a promising way for
iOS - I think Apple shows will not end in the near future, also a good
PC option - I don’t know here ..

Judging by the growth in activity, now the mobile platform and the MMO component are still in the lead (due to the cheapening of "shovels" with a large display and the already almost ubiquitous Internet). Yes, and the niche is wide enough for a developer - it is probably almost impossible to create something competitive with AAA class projects now. Gamedev at a professional level brings quite a tangible income, and even if the project "shoots" - at best, they "ask" from the stage, giving a small amount for the track for vacation - and the name of the real author will be in the "other" section. On the other hand, mobile game developers give the lion's share of their profits to service owners,
If you have knowledge of OOP - then it's really worth looking towards Unity3D (after reading the offer, it's not "free"). It is the profit that is of interest - it is worth looking in the direction of MMOs - this is an opportunity to sell the game several times (for an indie, a big problem is to keep up with the standards: by the time some mechanism is implemented in the game that can attract the player, it is already becoming an anachronism), and everyone has long been accustomed to in-game purchases... As for CryEngine, Unreal, Ogre3D and the like, you can’t do without a wall of code, you need quite serious programming skills, good knowledge of the structures and mechanics of the gameplay. Engines for a serious team or a lone geek. As already noted above - first you need to decide what type of game will be? 2D or 3D? Office time killer or "
