Bulk photo processing for uploading, how can it be done for free?

Lords and Ladies.
Help.
I have a database of photos, each weighs from 3 to 5 mb, it's too hard for a site.
I once had a TSR Watermark Image Software handler, but disappeared with a computer update. And when installing a new one, I find only "infected" cracks. Half the night I treated the computer =(
There are not so many photos, but I think there will be 1000.
There is no budget for this.

And what is needed? prepare for publication on the Internet?
Any editor/viewer can handle it - irfanview, faststoun - have a batch image processing mode. I'm talking about photoshop...
