Broke sound

I was sitting resting in the evening, playing a game, and suddenly the sound began to crackle, then squeak, as if turning a vinyl record against the movement and, as a result, completely turned off.

Sound is built in. MB: Asus P5B Premium, Win 7x64 Prof.

The reboot didn't change anything. I tried to remove the sound device in the device manager, but the computer did not find it again. An attempt to install sound drivers downloaded from an off site failed, an error came up "audio driver files do not support your computer's hardware ..."

What could be the problem? What do you advise? Could it be that after the sound, the mother will also come up?

say tambourine dancing helps. maybe the front output is not working, try plugging in the back.
